Here is an interesting fact about Bob Lilly, that I did not know until just now. Besides being the world record holder in the helmet toss, he was the first draft pick in Cowboys history! He was drafted in the 1961 NFL draft which surprised me since the Cowboys first year was 1960. I looked up the 1960 draft and the Cowboys did not participate in it since they were not enfranchised until a few months later. No draft for an expansion team? Talk about starting behind the 8 ball!
