As a giants fan I'm loving all the mccoveys. Here's one of mine-
Oh if I could ever come across a McCovey RC centered like that one! Very nice autographed card BTW!!
I had totally forgotten that McCovey went back to the Giants in the late 70s after his stint with the Padres. It was so strange seeing him in Padres gear in the 1974 Topps card. And I never knew he payed a handfull of games with the A's in 1976. Now there is an answer to a trivia question for you!
Going with football today
Awesome! More than likely a photo from his AFL days to boot! Three os the greatest things ever created were the AFL in the 60s, the ABA in the late 60s/mid 70s and ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) in the 1990s. Often imitated but never duplicated and to this very day I miss all three like crazy!
Nobody names their kid Solly anymore...
