Still quietly picking up Pucketts when I can - this one from a great trade here on The Bench. 2002 Studio - #d/1000

It's funny a few years ago when I picked up my Mitchell and Ness 1985 Kirby Puckett BP jersey, like the one in this card, I thought they messed up because the T in the Twins logo was slightly tilted. I now see it was like that here also. Kinda funny I didn't notice it back in the day.

Ahh Valentine's Day. The lamest holiday. Hallmark and Hershey's got together and asked, "How can we make more money??? How 'bout a day of obligated affection?" .....maybe I'm just jealous of all the people who get to "celebrate" the holiday. I don't think these guys "celebrated" Valentine's Day, but they loved eachother like brothers, probably still do... Here's to Love! Cheers!

Did I trade that card to you? I remember asking you about its' BV some months ago. It was sittting right next to my computer for about a year and it is not here now. If I did not trade it to you, then I must have actually put it away where it belonged. A miracle if the latter happened! lol

No, I've had this since the early days (1992). Hence the cropping of the edges and corners. I love this card, but its a little rough around the edges.
Proud of you for putting 1 card where it belongs! Maybe today you can try for 3... don't overwhelm yourself, though. If u need to take a 15 minute break between each one that's ok!! Think about how good you'll feel when you get done, that will help motivate you. Remember... YOU ARE WORTHY OF AN ORGANIZED CARD COLLECTION.

LOL And come to find out I DID put it where it belonged! Props to me! I amaze myself sometimes!

That card sat next to my computer for about a year since it seemed to be an outlyer in this football card lot I bought here. The seller had its' BV at $10 which was quite a bit higher than any of the other cards in the lot. I put all the other cards away except for that one until I found out its' bv. A year later I asked you about it, found the BV was correct and put it away where it belonged. I have all my Emmitt inserts $10 and more in one location and the less than $10 ones go into another. That shou;ld not shock you since you've ended up with a bunch of my pricier Emmitt inserts.

Talk about a compelling backstory, there is one right there. LMAO!!!!!!

Mr Lofton, here, played for 11 different MLB teams! The record.... 14 different teams. I can't imagine. He was basically used by a third of the league. At least he was paid well....

I think Lofton was given short shrift by Hall of Fame voters. Maybe it's due to all that bouncing around at the end of his career. Still, lifetime .299 hitter, over 1500 runs scored, over 600 SB, stellar CF play including 4 GG, 68 WAR for those of you who believe that's a real stat. If Tim Raines is a HoFer, Lofton probably is too.

I liked Kenny Lofton... consistent player. He became a rental player. Not many MLB players I know about... I was excited he signed with The Rangers. Figured he'd retire as one... then like 6 months later they trade him! That's baseball I guess....

He was on a basketball scholorship to the University of Arizona and was the back up point guard to Steve Kerr on their 1988 Final Four team. He did not go out for baseball there until his junior year. Kind of like Kirk Gibson at Michigan State who was an All American wide receiver and went out for baseball at MSU his Senior year.
