I'll let someone else do that after I'm gone...........Have never graded a card and probably won't.........

I tend to feel the same way, I really don't trust my cards being out of sight, out of mind. My brother gets a lot of vintage graded via SGC with fairly good results. I had him send in one card for me which was a 1962 Mantle AS that came back a 7.5. But I won't send in any on my own and through him it'll be few and far between despite my good result.. My trust in these grading services just is not 100%.

The 1969 Topps baseball set is just a beautiful set! It comes in 2nd only behind the 1967 Topps issue IMO. As far as eye appeal, the two things they made better in the late 60s than in any other time period were baseball card sets and pro football uniforms.

The 1969 Topps baseball set is just a beautiful set! It comes in 2nd only behind the 1967 Topps issue IMO. As far as eye appeal, the two things they made better in the late 60s than in any other time period were baseball card sets and pro football uniforms.

I agree - 1960s cards in general are really nice. As for the 1969 set, I am only 3 away from completing it! Three biggies though - Reggie, Ryan, and Mantle! Yikes!

So does the OC designation lower the grade? Or do they kinda forget about that aspect and grade it like it is centered? They only do this on Vintage cards, right? Cuz' if they do this on moderns my Brady RC should get a 10 OC from PSA, it got an 8.5 because the centering was off so much they gave that aspect an 8...

The flaw designations do take away from the BV of the card but by how much I don't know. I have a Mike Ditka RC which is graded a PSA 5 MC which I believe stands for misscut. I think PSA grade would be a 3 if the MC was counted. I'm not sure if PSA even does the grading with those flaw designations any more but I could be mistaken.
