In my book he is one of the three greatest Cowboys of all time along with Emmitt and Staubach.
I know I have spent waaaay too much time obsessing over vintage football when I can ID both Chuck Howley and Tom Woodeshek of the Eagles on this card. I sure can't do that with present day players!
Interesting read on the back of this card! I had no idea MLB had a three game playoff if there was a tie to determine the NL pennant winner. I always assumed it would be a one game, winner take all but it was a three game series. THe Giants won the series 2 games to 1 and went on to lose to the Yankees in 7 games. Interestingly, the playoff games counted as regular season games with the stats from those games added to the regular season stats of the players.
