Great card. Before my time though. I can see Paul Horung, Jim Taylor, Boyd Dowler and Elijah Pitts I think. The year before Lombardi. Or the 1959 I don't see Lombardi.
Hornung is #5, Starr is #15, Jim Ringo is #51, Jerry Kramer is #64, Jim Taylor is #31, Max McGee is #85, Forrest Gregg is #75
Elijah Pitts wasn't on the team yet. I think Boyd Dowler wore #86 - but he was a rookie that year so it may not be him. I was looking for Nitschke, #66, he was also a rookie that year but I don't see him.

Each time I see a Dallas Stars card, I die a little bit inside. Stars should have never left Minnesota
That was a franchise move that was just shocking given the weather and interest in the sport in both states.

And the Vikings NEVER should have moved indoors. The home field advantage they had playing outdoors was massive. What kind of team called the Vikings plays in very comfortable, indoor climate controlled conditions?

Steve Carlton v. Nolan Ryan and Pete Rose v. Nolan Ryan........Rose tied Stan Musial's NL hit record in the 1st inning then went hitless the rest of the game........Rose's last hit until August; 1981 strike........Starting pitchers didn't figure in the final outcome........Philly won 5-4 in the late innings......Astros and Phillies faced each other in the 1980 playoffs.....

Right? I get that the Met Center was starting to show its age by the early 90's, but man Norm Greed, er Green really showed his true colors in moving the team out of Minnesota.

And yes, i agree. I read somewhere that ironically the Vikings played their best football in a stadium meant for Baseball (old Met) and the Twins played their best baseball in a stadium meant for football (Metrodome).
