With that centering and those corners, I'm surprised it only got a 5.

Giving my youthful age away with this one.....the first college game I attended was in 1966 when Florida State traveled to Syracuse and got demolished, mostly due to Floyd Little running all over them. And no......THEY WERE NOT WEARING LEATHER HELMETS!

I saw Miami and Denver in 68 and 69. Larry Csonka vs Floyd Little. The number of bruising FBs that came out of Syracuse was astounding.

Astounding indeed! Davis, Brown, Nance, Little, Csonka......and pretty much all in a row! 3 HOFers, 1 Heisman Trophy winnrer and a Hall of Very Gooder. And it may have been 4 HOFers had Ernie Davis not passed away beore he ever got a chance to play in the NFL.

An odd contrast between Little and Csonka when it comes to Syracuse University. Little was very closely associated with the school but I never hear anything about Csonka being involved with the University. ANd Csonka was pretty much a household name in the 70s and not just in football. I wonder if there was a falling out between him and SU?

I think there's only 1 card of Ernie Davis, the 62 Topps. It's very $$$.
