I did a little research and i'm pretty sure this card was photographed at the December 4, 1960 game with the Giants. Other Cowboys in this set are also photographed at this stadium but with different background angles so I'm guessing this was the actual background for this photo. Seeing the long sleeves in this picture it makes sense it was a December game in NYC. The Cowboys played the Giants in the 1961 pre season as well but that game was played at the University of New Mexico stadium most likely due to anticipated low attendence at the Cotton Bowl. Talk about times changing!!

At this December 4th game against the Giants the Cowboys ruined their perfect record. The game ended in a 31-31 tie which was the only blemish on the Cowboy's near perfect 0-11-1 record that year. So close to perfection and yet so far away. LMAO!!

And to top things off the game tying touchdown was scored by none other than Billy Howton with an 11 yard TD rception from Eddie LeBaron.

Decided to go after the entire Cowboybilia Auto set... need 6 more, including Aikman (which I've never seen, and apparently he never signed), Irvin (which I've never seen), and Staubach/Pearson dual auto (which I've only seen one - for $400!!). So we'll see what happens! Here's a nice "cheap" one I just acquired...

He was a good 49er guard for a couple of years towards the end of his career.

I know it! It's just weird picturing him in another team's uniform... like Emmitt wearing red, Witten wearing black, and Tyron wearing green. But they each retired as a Cowboy!!
