I didn't know they still make machines with the CD rom drive........I haven't had one for 10 years or so........Hell, I just switched from USB-B to USB-C just last year and that was a pain........
Ya they probably don't make them anymore. I've had this computer for 13 years now. Runs fine for me so I haven't felt the need to go out and buy a new one. I say that, and later tonight it will probably crash on me!

Renata Galasso?? Is that like Monarch or Larry Fritsch?
If memory serves she used to put out card sets in the 70s and 80s but I don't think they were considerd licenced. But she was a famous name in cards "back in the day".

As a matter of fact I think she used to hae weekly ads in the back of the Sporting News along with Larry Fritsch.

I think Fritsch issued a set of ***** League stars. I've never seen them anywhere in the flesh.

Renatta Galasso was a company I bought complete Topps sets from '79-81 and they had HOF'er black and white card sets included; I'll scan one tomorrow.........I think they were located in Brooklyn or the Bronx........As for the 1985 Topps Rose, I guess they made a whole set of him gleaned from shots of the past and around 1985 when he broke Cobb's record...........He wasn't the reprobate at the time of course.........

So they were a card dealer company that also made a few sets of their own on the side? Like the Card Collectors Company?

You are correct about the 1985 Renata Galasso Pete Rose set. I had never heard of it until you posted that picture of card #1. Here is the checklist for it.

You mentioned buying complete sets from that company. Man, that is really something from the infancy of card collecting. THere were a few companies that did that and that activity even predates price guides which I think first came out in 1980 or 81. Going through those ads in the back of The Sporting News was a card collectors dream back then.
