Last of the baseball....I've got some football, but too lazy to find them....looks silly with the back larger than the front...have to remind myself to rotate the back pic....

I still am not sure how these were distributed. I gotta figure they were mail order since the panels would have been damaged if they were inside the cereal box. I got my sets at a flea market in metro New Jersey in 1985 or so.
You should look into the 1986 McDonald's Cowboys sets. They came in 4 different color variations(Green, Gold, Black and Blue). I have a green Cowboys set which I would have traded you but cannot find it. It is here, but where is the question. I But I'd look into those if I were you as I don't think those sets are veruy .expensive. The team sets were distibuted regionally so your area would have gotten the Cowboys set, up here the Bills, Gianmts or jets
Funny you should mention those McDonald's cards... I'm working on a transaction with a member that has them for me, PLUS a few of those Carrollton Mall Cowboys photos we talked about a while ago.
You should really consider my idea of becoming a professional card organizer. I dont mind driving if you pay for gas and food. I could sleep in my car and you could probably pay me in cards when the job is done! From what you've said it should take about 2 weeks to get you fixed up!!
HaHa! It'll take a lot longert than 2 weeks, I assure you.
You may know this already but the color variations have to do with the tab at the bottom of the card. You'd scratch of the tab (like a scratchoff lottery ticket} and possibly win some food item from Micky-D's. So there are 4 sets of 24 cards each for each NFL Franchise. I still regret not ordering a set of those Carrolton Mall Cowboys back in the day. I don't think they are very pricey but they are just one of those cool, regional issues I love. You'll have to post those as well as the McDonalds Cowboys here if you acquire them.

Think I've got about 10 days of those sneaky image variations....guess it's a good way to make you look at both sides of the card and not just the front....
Loved the Quads! Leather as well.....
Same here. They did a good job at not making the cards too busy even though there are 4 players on them.
