agree, we just bought a set for my youngest nephew this weekend and it was 22 dollars for a 200 piece set. And I get the thought of the special sets and what ever, but I feel like a bit of imagination was lost when LEGO's basically all became sets because you don't have to think about what you are building to an extent. Give me a giant bucket with a couple thousand legos and platform to build on let me go to town....(god i feel like an old man yelling at the clouds...)

Like so....? I just donated a ton of the "big" pieces to the church to send overseas to kids. The "bricks" that we used to make houses out of, ya know? Now all that's left are small pieces and the speacialty pieces that were in the kits in the 90's. These are all 80's and early 90's Legos.

Nolan might show the most aging through his career in MLB. He was around 20 years old here? I can't think of another player that changed from a Little Tyke into a Grandpop during their playing days... I'm sure you guys have better examples...
You are correct! DuPree was born and raised in Louisiana, Michigan State, along with the University of Minnesota, were the biggest beneficiaries of the Southern schools having segregated squads.
And Nolan Ryan was born in 1947 so he would have been 28 or 29 when that photo was taken for his 1976 card..

Wonder if DuPree spoke cajun. That's a very French sounding last name... when I worked in the restaurant here not long ago 2 guys I waited on were talking to each other in cajun. It's so weird!! Like a hillbilly French...

TC84, I have not figured these guys out yet. All of the teams in the Big 12 are pretty good/decent teams, with the exception of K-State and Utah, and everybody can be beaten, except on Big Monday in Allen Field House. LOL
yep. I always enjoyed spending time with my one uncle as a kid because he literally had thousands of the bricks, windows, tires all that along with probably 400 original hot wheels cars from his childhood (60's early 70's ) and we'd spend hours during the summer visits build several story lego houses and playing with the hot wheels. When he passed, mom asked if my brother and I wanted his hot wheels to which we both said yes only to find out that an unscrupulous cousin had taken advantage of his kindness and sold all of that stuff and replaced it with knock off hot wheels about 3 years prior to his passing
