Nothing I can figure out... i thought the same when considering buying it but the deal was just too good to pass up to care all that much. That is a very odd group of players on the same card. Is there some connection between them?

Maybe they each have platinum caps on one of their teeth... I'm gunna have to look up the rest of the set now and see who's on the same card. This is a '98 with a $40 BV. Imagine Aikman, Favre, Elway and P. Manning on it. That's $200 easy. And a great idea!!I was thinking the same thing
I thought it may have been the final four teams in the 1997 NFC Playoffs but Washington and Dallas (losers) did not even make the playoffs that year. And they all went to different colleges as well.Maybe they each have platinum caps on one of their teeth... I'm gunna have to look up the rest of the set now and see who's on the same card. The last four make sense as they are all 1998 rookies. But the rest are a strange grouping. Here's the set list... they're all wonky like mine.

This is the front of the last card in the set...

Meh... so be it. Maybe they purposefully randomized scrubs and put with the elite players to keep value down. Maybe a little "there ya go" to the common folk that can't buy $200 plus cards. The last four make sense as they are all 1998 rookies. But the rest are a strange grouping.

That's either a dum-dum or genius.CeeDee Lamb and his sideways 8 signature. LOL
I know I'm always mocking the autographs of today's players as the equivalent of a mark. Well apparently marks are not out of style.! I'm looking at an absentee ballot for current New York State Primaries and where the voter is supposed to sign it says "Signature or mark of voter".
There was a guy locally that was a big CeeDee Lamb fan and he sent in an autographed card of him to HGA. The auto came back a 10. I looked at it and realized it was a sideways 8 and could not figure how this "autograph" received a 10?? Are there certain distinguishing techniques for writing an 8 sideways? Is Lamb's sideways 8 different than mine? That's either a dum-dum or genius.
If I had a twin and grew up using coded messages to write letters to each other I think I would use the code as my signature... if I didn't care who won and there was a write in candidate. (Mickey Mouse would be my vote!)
As for CeeDee's signature... still better than Jabril Cox's. And at least he didn't do what Dez Bryant did and have someone else sign stickers for him...
It's his initials bro. Look where he starts his C. Its a sig so regular type goes out the window... but he starts on far left goes strait across to the right then goes back to the left to start the C. He doesn't lift the pen up going into the D. He just makes a big circle then at the bottom of the D are sqiggles for some reason. Maybe for the e's...There was a guy locally that was a big CeeDee Lamb fan and he sent in an autographed card of him to HGA. The auto came back a 10. Inquiring mind wants to know!

Check out Hodee's topic where he is trading football cards for Marvin Harrison cards. The nicest autograph by far is Jim Brown's. Better than Kurt Warner's, Payton Manning's or anyone else's. Who would have ever figured that two of the baddest mother (HUSH YOUR MOUTH) on the planet in Jim Brown and Bob Gibson would have such nice handwriting? It's his initials bro. We've discussed this before... but this is my signature. I put the letters of what it spells under it. There's no way you could tell my name just from the signature.

Bob Lilly as well...Check out Hodee's topic where he is trading football cards for Marvin Harrison cards. The nicest autograph by far is Jim Brown's. Johnny Bench and a lot of the BRM..........Bob Lilly as well...
Not sure what happened to the quote there... but ya that's me again ramblin'... not MetsMan. lol"The Times They Are A Changin'" I use my initials a lot of times when I don't feel like writing my whole signature. I was bummed when DeMarcus Ware signed with his initials at an IP event. With the technology we have now we can count how many moles Morgan Freeman has on his face... We know what every player looks like. There's no hiding when these guys go out in public, not even for the scrubs. And autographs are still the go-to for fans... have you seen how much memorabilia some of these players have to sign?? Ya, they get paid, but man! I don't know if I could produce a good signature hundreds of times in one sitting. The old school guys didn't have to do that. I understand WHY they do it... but at the same time, Topps and Panini and the rest are putting out a product people want quality from. They get to make the rules since they're paying them... so make them re-do a signature where half of it is off the sticker. THAT should be in their contract for signing. Jeff, I think that's how your friend got a 10 on CeeDee's auto. It's authentic and he stayed within the margins.
