I understand the desire to get the best possible cards, but do we think it will really make that big of a different in the results, especially if this auction gets a big charity push in the publicity department? It took a long time to complete and I wonder if the goal of 100% mint perfection is worth the additional time?
It could take months or even a year or more to land another 8-12 cards...
I'm guessing that the Auction company is the one that won't allow it......probably feels that it would reflect badly on them if they sold a near mint set. Best regards, David
