The National Will be in ChiTown again...Any one Going?

I was at the 2002 National also in Chicago and was blown away by it. It was almost too much to take in, in one day. Have two nephews that are into cards right now and are trying to arrange something so we could go down in august. Any one else going?

I'll have to see what my money situation is, but I really want to go to it! The show is only about ten minutes from where I live, so I don't have to worry about traveling or anything. I was at the one in Chicago three years ago, I think, and it was great. A lot to take in for one day, as you said.

I'll be there as well. We'll make plans to meet up. I'd suggest spending more than one day at the show. It's a HUGE show and I doubt that anyone could make it through in one day.

Thanks for the offer bud. Flights don't look too bad, neither does one of the hotels connected by the pedestrian walkway. Are you going to be setting up a "The Bench" table? We'll definitely have to meet up.

What week is the national? I have to see if I am available or will be in Afghanistan. I'd love to go, but seem to even miss out on the local shows in Glen Burnie (I live a mile from the usual GB location) and the Baltimore shows (about 7 miles from that one).

I am owed a free flight from Southwest and a free hotel stay from Marriott. So I should be good if I am home.

No Bench table for The National. Not enough manpower to cover it and considering the returns I got last time it was not quite worth it overall.

I would try and make reservations as soon as possible if you are coming. Those hotels might fill up fast for The National.

Offer stands though, and I was 100% serious. Other Bench members have stayed here and lived to tell the tale
