Hi guys,
I have an unidentified Carl Yastrzemski card, that I'm looking for info on.

It looks suspiciously like the 1969 Topps Deckle, but is the size of a standard card.

I scanned it with the Topps Deckle for comparison...
obviously the same photo was used, but cropped slightly differently
and the facsimile signature is in a slightly different location as well.

The back is plain white, there are no markings.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated...

Thanks,
Scott

I can't say with certainty, but my guess is that this is some type of team issue. However, I can't find another example of a Red Sox team issue that looked similar, and based on seeing other players from the '69 Deckle as opposed to the team issues, the photos were different.

Looks like it was cut from a deckle proof sheet. See how the signature is slightly different from the deckle card:

Click above for the link, here's a scan.

That looks like the winner to me! Thanks! I had seen the proofs from the Topps vault before, but those have no signatures. The sig from your scan is a dead on match for mine. It must have been cut out at one time or another.

thanks again,

Scott
