I know it is standard with all auctions, but I did find it amusing that they have a button under the auction description that is titled, "I have one of these to sell".........

Auction results say the card went for $239,000. Does anyone know whether that includes the buyer's premium or not ? I would think it doesn't but need to be sure as it will change who the winners are.

I have no idea but if you divide the $239,000 by 1.195% you get $200,000 which would be reasonable. The way the bid increments were going up, the $200,000 bid price would be more realistic not $239,000. Still too difficult to call. Butch

I would agree with this; the bids were generally in increments of $5,000 from what I saw. 200K seems to be a more likely winning bid than 239K. Just my thoughts though.

The ENTIRE batch, according to ESPN.com, went for $566,000...WTH?

But they have MORE cards...70+ Cobbs from that era alone, 700+ cards total...

i can't believe a gem mint wagner went for only 200k. i thought sure it would hit at least half a mil.

it was fun tho, thanx for the contest :)

I bit the bullet and registered with heritage auctions. 239k includes the buyer premium. So that means pm's going out to.......

WINNER GIANTS FAN guessed 225,000
2nd Place gonavy0806 $222,222
3rd Place baberuth#3 $220,000
