Wondering about Justin Smoak Rookie Cards?

Mostly, why are there NONE!?!?!?!?!
He has plenty of USA, Pre-Rookie, and/or theme cards but no base card. A year ago he was one of the top 5 prospects in baseball before the season, he was called up in April and STILL did not make any Ser II or update sets. Now he's on the 40 man roster for 2011 and Topps skips over him again. He doesn't even have any Bowman card for cryin' out loud.

So what are your theroies?
1. He hates baseball cards?
2. He wanted money from Topps that they refused to give him?
3. Topps does not think he is worthy of a card?
4. Topps has overlooked him.
5. Something else

Edit:
Just noticed that he does a Pro Debut card from 2010.

Hi he is card #483 in Topps series 2.

Other then that I dont know why he doesnt have more cards.

It's a weird situation complicated by the Topps monopoly and the whole Bowman thing.

I've got some of his best stuff, Green USA auto /2 and a full letter card from USA jersey. Hope he has a great season!

Wonder if he had the same problem as Alex Rodriguez....wanted to play for USA team....but topps would not let him until you signed contract! So no topps rookie cards. Best regards, David

That's what I was thinking but I thought that contract was valid until he made the Majors.

Razor is the bingo. Same reason you are just now starting to see some Pedro Alvarez trickle into the market. The Razor contracts are expiring.

Ok, thanks for the info everyone. I figured it has something to do with that because of the lack of Bowman AND Topps cards.
