Would like to hear your thoughts about possibly adding a few more forum sections..

My two collecting areas are sports cards, baseball mainly, and vintage vinyl lp records. But truthfully record collecting and trading is very subjective, mailing is a specialized process if done correctly and condition grading is even more subjective. This type collecting is perhaps best left to pure commercial avenues. I do agree, however, that whatever is good for The Bench is something that should be done.

Although if you consider opening up a Bench & Breakfast I would be sure to visit it with sincere frequency.

I have picked up a few LP's here and there and would love to add some more. I would be more than happy to trade some cards for some LP's if anybody is interested. I also have a coin want list on my trading site. I have already made a few trades for some coins. There are a couple other members who are looking for specific coins now. I love the idea of adding a few new forums.

I'm not active much these past few years, but I still hold this site in high regards. The best trading site I was ever a part of, full of really great people. Not trying to take away from the other great sites I am/was a part of, but I always preferred The Bench. I'm not opposed to anything collectible you add here, just as long as the baseball/sports card part remains. I sincerely hope that when the day comes I decide to get back into collecting baseball cards this site is still here and still going strong. Add whatever you feel to keep this site going strong.

To my many former trading partners and friends, I hope you are all doing well and building those dream collections.

I would like to add one for Nascar Diecast. We have one specifically for 'others', but there is a large community out there that does diecast and cards.

Yes. i agree. a new forum on non sports type. like comics. actions figures. funko pops. coins, nascar / f1 would for sure bring in more traffic. for this site. but i also expect more mods to police these forums. as iam sure there will be a few scam artists. trying to weasel there way onto the site.

More people collect coins that cards. The issue I have with coins is mailing them. Can a pwe be used? I took possession of a stamp collection a year ago and still haven't looked at them. I would think coins would be the most useful. I think there have already been a few coin trades on The Bench. Comics would be a good one too.

Coins, toys, stamps etc.. are all good choices. I think the very best one we could add would be POKEMON. Kids and adults everywhere chase these things. I buy them for my grandchildren. Kids go nuts for them and since we are a kid friendly site, it seems like a natural fit!!

Yes, I like the coins, autographs, even game used memorabilia could be good. I did enlist some benchies to help with my daughter's state quarter collection. Action figures could be good too. Like the record idea too. And for whoever mentioned that adding other stuff may not fit with the "Bench" theme just remember this. The Sporting News started as a baseball publication and eventually added other sports too.

Didn't think about that but great idea as well.

We can add all that has been suggested into on forum and see how they go. If they grow, we can then add more sub sections to them.

This may not be the place to ask this, but since the email I got about this topic brought me back here. I can't for the life of me recall the exact id to check on him, but the guy that brought me here 20 years ago or so. I want to say his name was Charlie, id was something along the lines of rrpg? Anyone know who I'm referring to? I've met some great people, of course only online and through this page, but I built good relationships with several Bench members. pacrat76, mm1sub, chieftazmisty to name a few. Sorry if I misspelled any names.

I agree that additional forums such as action figures, funko, comics, coins, etc. Is a great idea and a compliment to the sports forums that are the core of the site.
