I just sent some want lists to a fellow Bench member that had some of my most wanted cards on it. That got me to thinking about the cards I want the most in good shape I'm personally not going to say the 1952 Topps Mantle or the T206 Honus Wagner but rather the cards I want the most for sets I am working on. I came up with 5 for my list.

BASEBALL
1966 Topps #300 (Roberto Clemente) I have one but it is crap.
1966 Topps #591 (Grant Jackson/ Bob Shirley RC) Super short printed and urban legend says this card was bought heavily by one dealer causing it to be a super, artificially created short print.
1968 Topps #490 Super Stars (Mantle/Mays/Killebrew) No where near the most expensive card in this set but getting a nice one has ecaped me.

FOOTBALL

1965 Topps Fred Biletnikoff RC The biggest card I need for this set which is loaded with big cards.

BASKETBALL

1970-71 Topps Pete Maravich RC Never chased his RC as I never thought he was that great.........All O no D. Wish I'd gotten one now seeing its' value.

Just curious as to others "Most Wanted " lists.

Hi,

I have a 1966 Topps #300 (Roberto Clemente) SGC 4 (VG-EX) that I'd be willing to part with if you are interested.

I'd love to get some hits on my Vintage Needs (link is the first line of my signature).

LMK and thanks,

Todd

Are you kindly indicating for others to add their "5" most wanted here on your thread?

No. I'm just curious as to what cards the other members are chasing. For those 5 cards I'd have to see them in person and not risk an internet trade to get them.

I'm probably looking for 6s on that Clemente card since I have a bunch of PSA 6s already in that working set. But it still is a card I may still be intereted in.

I am very close to a 1975 Topps Mini set so once I get done with a current vintage trade I am working on, I'll get a want list for that and send it to you. I know I can help you on the three sets you are working on

Hi! I'm chasing the 2003 Timeless Treasure Gold set......I have 73 of the 100. Number one on my list is Roger Clemen Gold......another member on a different site had 8 of the 10. Number two is Cal Ripken Jr. Gold. Best regards, David

Hey Jeff,

Which 75 minis are you looking for? I have a few dozen I’m looking to move.
Jay, I have to make out my want list for those, a task I have been procrastinating on for years. I'll get that made up and PM you the list.

I put that mini set on the back burner for years because I didn't have the Brett RC. You reminded me that I got one form you which I had totally forgotten about. Now I discover I have TWO of those Brett RC minis and I have ZERO idea where I got the other one from!?!?!?

First World problems right there! LMAO!!

Is it weird that there are no cards I simply HAVE to have?

I mean yeah, finishing sets and acquiring new Pujols cards and Mets autographs for my collection are awesome and makes me happy but there's nothing out there that I would consider a "white whale" for me.

I will give a list of 5 cards that have been alluding me. Mostly because of the price but they are still relatively affordable:

1964 Topps Giants #3 Sandy Koufax. Last time I checked it was booking for 250.00. It is the last one I need to complete this beautiful set.

1971 Topps #600 Willie Mays. I passed on picking this one up for 100.00 (very bad move). I think this one is still at 300.00

1971 Topps #709 Baylor/Baker/Paciorek. I passed on this one at 50.00 a while back because my cheap ass wanted to pay 40.00 (an even worse move than the one above). It is now sitting at 300.00

1975 Topps Mini #223 Robin Yount. Lists at 150.00

1975 Topps Mini #500 Nolan Ryan. It is only listing at 50.00 but is proving very difficult to find at the shows I have been to.

I’m down to a handful of 1975 Topps minis myself and have my eye on a few on EBay (Yount, Brett, Ryan especially). Hard to pull the trigger though!
