Insane! I had my credit card out an everything, only to be disappointed in the last paragraph that they are already sold out....

So true - the big ticket is literally that, the ticket to the Vegas party. But no plus one. No airfare. No hotel. And the guest is Kobe, who is of zero interest to me.

If I am planning on spending $22k on cards, it would be to knockout all my vintage wantlists.

Maybe that is a better question - if you had $22k in throwaway money for cards - what would you spend it on???

Certified autographs never really interested me. I always appreciated getting autographs either in person or through the mail. I would prefer to knock out some of my vintage sets and start some new ones.

However, this being said, if I had this kind of money available I would squirrel quite a bit of it away for my daughter's education and donate quite a bit to the local food bank.

When you start talking about figures of this sort, you are no longer just a hobbyist.

I would start a charity locally, and definitely fund my three children's college funds, cards would be the last thing on my mind!

After meeting your daughter last year, I'd say she is a good bet to get an academic scholarship. Man oh man, she was a bright young gal!She must take after your better half.

If I had 22K that I HAD to spend on sports cards I would buy high grade vintage sets from the 1960s either in baseball, football or both. My first choices would be 1966 Topps baseball and 1965Topps football which are two issues I am partial to as they are the first cards I remember as a kid. Which means I am old.

One can dream, can't they?

You embarrass me, Jeff. We still have five years to go though.
