I shoot them with a Canon EOS SD Mark III with an EF100mm f/2.8L Macro.........They are super high resolution.........The originals are 3X the size of the actual card.......
See, Jeff, you don't need a smartphone... just get one of those setups!! They're not THAT complicated... compared to a space shuttle....

Being a commercial photographer, with a studio, helps.......
I bet! I had a pretty basic Canon EOS with a basic lens... ya that lasted about a month. I got like one decent shot of a cardinal from 10 feet. Everything else was too far away and the lenses I looked at were so high I'd need a loan to get one.

The Macro was $3K 12 years ago.......

So let me get this straight. Are you saying if you took a picture of me with that "new fangled contraption", I would look like George Clooney?

Please be a little more respectful in your commentary to real astronauts like Katy Perry, Lauren Sanchez and Gayle King!

TUBBS! The man, the myth, the legend! It still makes me LOL as to how his 1965 Philadelphia Football card made such an impression on my then 6 year old mind.

This is Tubbs related and I meant to post this short video after Scobes posted a Tommy McDonald card here a month or so ago. Jerry Tubbs and Tommy McDonald were teammates on Bud Wilkinson's legendary Oklahoma Sooner teams that went 31-0 during their time there. 31-0? Losers! Anyhow Tommy McDonald was the last non kicker to not wear a facemask in the NFL. This little dude was way on the brave side of things. Damn!

On the downside he took 2 plays off after separating his shoulder. Wuss! LMAO!! Dear God, talk about tough!

He was tough! And pretty daggum good. These are his '61 numbers with Philly.
And 5 foot 9, 175 pounds might explain the no facemask thing. Always the smallest guy that has to show their toughness, not doggin' it, just how it is...

As many times as I've seen McDonald's 1966 Philadelphia card (pictured below) it never occured to me that his maskless helmet was his actual helmet. I thought they just grabbed a Rams helmet without the facemask to get a better picture. 60 years later I discover this was not a prop.

I'm just thankful facemasks were mandatory when I was in high school. I was too young and handsome to play without one. Well, I was too young anyways, to quote Curly from the Three Stooges. LMAO!!

That card looks weird to me.......The helmet seems way big on him and the chin strap brings back memories of the pandemic........The stats TC shared show he was a model of consistency on the field.........Topps really loved that orange color in 1963..........

Maybe consistent for 2 or 3 years. His other years aren't as impressive, including '64, his only year with The Cowboys.
