Going to hang on to it for a while, wait for the value to come down, then probably sell it!You keepin or sellin? Looks like that fetches some good coinage!!
Well that's the strangest thing I've heard all day... please explain...Going to hang on to it for a while, wait for the value to come down, then probably sell it!
When it comes to cards, I'm usually in the category of "buying high selling low"....just being silly of course....but it sure feels that way sometimes......I just kind of like to watch values go up and down similar to a stock, and in the past when I did sell, it always seemed to be at the lowest....Well that's the strangest thing I've heard all day...
2 Weeks before week 1... thats when I'd put it up.When it comes to cards, I'm usually in the category of "buying high selling low"....just being silly of course....but it sure feels that way sometimes......I just kind of like to watch values go up and down similar to a stock, and in the past when I did sell, it always seemed to be at the lowest....
And then I watch him win 3 SB's with 2 mvp's.....who am I kidding, its the Browns!!2 Weeks before week 1... thats when I'd put it up.
You got that right……And then I watch him win 3 SB's with 2 mvp's.....who am I kidding, its the Browns!!

What an odd combo of positions played... shortstop and first base. Or is that just me not knowing baseball again?
Late in his career when he slowed down he made the move to first base. A lor of big time hitters would make that move late in their careers to keep their bats in the lineup while not making them a defensive liability due to age and injuries. What an odd combo of positions played... shortstop and first base. Makes sense.Late in his career when he slowed down he made the move to first base. A lor of big time hitters would make that move late in their careers to keep their bats in the lineup while not making them a defensive liability due to age and injuries.
Here is a good example of that with Al Kaline playing 1st base in his last regular Topps player card. The DH kind of took the place of the move to 1st base by keeping productive bats in the lineup while keeping aging hitters completely off the field.Makes sense.
You're right.........Both retired the same year and I think they went to the HOF together.......Yaz, fell victim to the 1b/dh thinking as well
Yes, indeed. I think that was probably the best Hall class since I started paying attention to baseball in 1980. 1989 if memory serves me correctly. Always liked the tribute card from the 84 Donruss set. You're right.........Both retired the same year and I think they went to the HOF together.......
