    Emailing UD customer service?

If there is a UD executive that is a member, than it's good that he/she reads the truth about their customer service. I've had nothing but issues with the lack of response and knowledge from their customer service over the last year. Prior to the last year, I thought UD's customer service was...

Just got back my BGS gradings... Tedd Williams, Joe D, J Bench...

As far as resale value goes, 8.5 on a non-vintage card is a tough sell. The exception would be on cards from a set that is well-known as being condition sensitive (such as 86 topps baseball and 85 topps football). As Go Fish said, though, if you're happy, that's all that matters.

    Blowout Cards Question

I've ordered cases and boxes from Dave & Adam's, Blowout and Atlanta Sports Cards. As far as prices, Blowout is cheaper on 90% of all boxes and cases I've ordered (especially if you order during their weekend specials). I've had excellent service from Chris and Pat at Blowout, and now...

OUCH - Upper Deck in trouble for counterfieting

That is exactly what the USFL vs. NFL lawsuit was about -- MONEY. It was not a criminal case, but a civil case. Also, the NFL did do something wrong, hence the judgment in favor of the USFL. However, the jury did not feel that the USFL lawyers did a good enough job proving damages, and...

OUCH - Upper Deck in trouble for counterfieting

Ok guys. The point is not that these cases are similar, but rather that just because a company has money and is sued and found guilty (which the NFL was found) it does not mean that they will be hit with big punitive damages. Case histories show that there really is no rhyme or reason to the...

OUCH - Upper Deck in trouble for counterfieting

The NFL is also a "big company" and they got off with only paying the USFL $1. You never know how a jury/judge will rule.

Really upset with UD for the first time in a while

I agree that I doubt the licensing agreement impacts cards from a previously released set. While my UD horror story is not a redemption, it is quite frankly an astonishing one. I bought a case of 07 Masterpieces and contacted them via e-mail shortly after opening it to find out how to tell the...

2007 UD Masterpieces green frame help

I would love an answer to this also. I spent over 6 months corresponding with 4 different people at Upper Deck, including the CEO to get descriptions of all the variations (deep blue linen, persian blue linen, blue steel, windsor green, green linen, etc.). I even sent scans of several...

    But Shipping Is Free ...

Is it really that difficult to do an eBay search of completed similar items before setting your auction price? http://cgi.ebay.com/fleer-baseball-cards-case-unopened-1989_W0QQitemZ260482413430QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Baseball?hash=item3ca5f63376&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

*Rant* This is why Upper Deck continues to irratate me

I'm not sure what your issues were with the 2 cases, but just regarding this card, why would you send it to UD for replacement when the damage had nothing to do with them? If you told them it was damaged when you sent it through the mail, then they shouldn't have replaced it, and quite frankly...

Can you make $30,000/year in the business?

Absolutely not in Southern California, unless they are already wealthy or have a wealthy spouse. The cost of living out here is way to high to survive off of $30,000 a year, and that would be if there was only one person running the company and getting all of the money. I'm sure they make well...

He also has several other auctions with large lots of Tosoni autograph Bowman and Bowman Chrome cards. Something is definitely up.

TMZ says Topps being sued...and tells how much they pay for autos...

They get paid more for their autographs than their autograph cards are worth.
