As for the Beckett thing, why don't some of you that dont have a sub just ptch in and get one . Get enough people and you'd pay like a dollar a month and stick it to the man!! As for this draft thing, I want in. If it's super baseball heavy like this site tends to be, Imma be sad, but I'll play.

Oh wait. Am I too late?
kinda...if you really want in I need your list asap and you would need to get your cards to Andy by early next week at the latest...everyone else mailed early this week, which as I said is why I had a cutoff...lmk thanks

Friday update...I have all lists! Waiting on the USPS and delivery to Andys house. thinking of grabbing a chat room for the unveiling of the "draftees" some night next week once all cards are received. Thoughts?

Yes, being able to see the cards a day or two early would allow us to formulate our draft plans and help with making draft pick trades.

I agree. Is there any reason why we can’t know the cards now, and the order now? I understand not starting the draft until Andy has all the cards in case any cards get lost in the mail or whatnot, but we can know all the cards now so that like Chavez said, we can come up with strategy now, and also maybe trade out spots now, which will make for a smoother draft night.

Also, there are 13 teams and 5 cards each, so that is 65 spots.

I would list out all 65 spots, because if any one does trade, it could end up the #1 spot goes for multiple lower spots, which could get confusing if one team ends up with seven spots and one team with 3. Keeping a list of all spots and who has it will make it easier to keep track of.

understood I have done this before...I will start a new thread once all cards are received...

Not questioning your abilities at all, sorry if it came off that way.

If you have the list of cards from everyone now, I am curious as to why the draft order and cards can’t be known now.

I mean, MLB draft is set almost a year before the draft! Lol 😅

This is your show though, I’m just along for the ride and fun, and asking questions as we go.

I have created a chat room for this group -- The Bench Card Draft 1.0 Room. you can talk to the group, or you can direct message someone from within the chat for trading purposes - contact will be instantaneous, so no delay during discussions. If you have any questions on how the room works, etc., just let me know. Thanks.

Packages have been received from the following (10/13):
Rabs
Dragonslayer913
Larry G
Bengyax
newguy338
chavezforprez
nepatriotsfan
prosefan1
steelers8873
gotmelky
dashcol

Now 11 of the 13 packages, nothing in the mail today. I will also be reaching out, as at least one did not include return postage. As a side note, if more of these are done in the future, I would recommend using a larger envelope to mail your cards in -- based on the fact that some are slabbed, and some are thicker than normal, may have a tough time squeezing them into the envelopes that were used to mail cards out.

Will update this post as the remaining packages are received. I will be sending everything back out, as is. IE, I am not going to change the sleeves they are in, or anything like that. They will also go back out in whatever packaging they were sent in. The only adjustments that I will make is that the cards are secured and safe, if necessary.

I used to do these on TCC. We had roughly a dozen guys per draft and 10-12 or so rounds. Guys would even trade draft picks which was fun.

I've been over there lately there's not much happening on TCC these days
That was my first spot that got me into trading a long time ago. It's been a ghost town for years now though. I think the owner just disappeared.
