Can someone breakdown Selling on COMC. I have a ton of stuff that I don't need here that I don't mind dumping for cheap. I don't actually care to make cash but wouldn't mind selling to use the money on COMC to buy what I want. Is it worth it if these are my plans? Your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I don't sell on there but what I have read on there is it's more of an buyers site then selling, people wait days n what I've believe is u send in ur cards they scan them, n whatever u put the prices, and there ya go

But if ur looking to post just base cards I wouldn't do it, as for like inserts autos n stuff like that I say give it an shot worst come to worst u make afew bucks or u lost afew bucks

If you're going to use any money you make to purchase stuff you want (avoiding the 20% cash-out fee by doing so) then you'll be very pleased.

Take a look at what you're sending in and see how many copies are on the site already. PLan on pricing your copy the lowest and keeping it the lowest if you want to make sales.

I have turned about 400 cards a year over, once the inventory stops selling, I pull back what I want to hold on to and sell the rest as a port.

Amen about the lowests....Whenever theres more than one insert for sale....I always take the lowests. Buy from them about every two months.....Next buy will be Black Friday! Best regards, David

Thanks everyone. Yes what I am planning on selling is some numbered stuff g/u and lower end autos as well as some of my player collection dupes. I read a little about the shipping (to them) seems as if they want them in penny sleeves?? What is your shipping methods to them? After they receive them how do you set the prices? Thanks again.

- Contact COMC and get $20 worth of free listing credit for being a first time seller. That's 80 free listings with the 1 month listing service.

- Choose what cards to send - numbered stuff, GU, Auto seem to do just fine. The fewer copies on the site, the better. I've basically stopped sending anything in that already has more than 5-6 copies on the site. Put them in penny sleeves (they will charge you to remove them from top loaders. Put them in a regular card box, make sure they are secure (use kleenex, blanks, folded magazine - just make sure the cards don't move around a bunch). I usually send in around 200 cards at a time and they fit in a smaller (300-400 count) box which I can then get to fit inside of a flat rate priority mail envelope for around $6.00. If you want to send more, fill up a Medium flat rate priority box with a few of the smaller boxes. Go to COMC and fill out the submission forms - print your slips and include them in the package.

- Mail the package.

- In a month, the card shows up in your inventory ready to sell. It has been scanned, front and back, and listed with all information. You set the price and wait for the buyers to show up. This part is really straightforward and easy to do. I usually price as the lowest - if mine is the only copy I check eBay for recent sales and price accordingly. A lot of people kind of go crazy on their stuff...and it just sits there. Don't expect to sell everything overnight - how many you sell depends on your inventory. Somedays I sell 20, somedays I sell 0, etc.

Feel free to ask more questions if you have them - COMC has great customer service as well if you need something from them. I've been on the site around 14-15 months and have done really well with around 5,000 cards sold. So I have some experience if you'd like to tap into it.
