I knew that card looked familiar. I did a little looking and as it turns out I have that card as well. Can you tell me why value of the HOF autographs of this genre (meat compnies)of cards are so low? Maybe hey've gone up over the last few years but they had been astonishingly low over the years.
They still only book in the 25-30 dollar range. I have no idea why. Other Ernie Banks autos are pretty pricey.

Well that shows there are some great buys out there at full book!

This actually shows that most collectors put more value on the card description rather than the actual autograph. I put all the value on the actual autograph rather than the manufactured scarcity of the card. $25 to$30 for authenicated on card autos of these HOFers is an absolute steal!

100% agree. I didnt have a Banks auto but was looking. These have crisp, clean autos for a third or less than the major manufacturers. An auto is an auto as far as Im concerned.

It’s funny after seeing the Banks card, I remember a food brand offering auto cards that were incredibly reasonable two that I remember were Don Drysdale and Brooks Robinson. I do remember that Drysdale passed shortly after the promotion but can’t remember the issue.

I had to look this up but the issue you are refering to is the 1993 Nabisco which had both the Drysdale and the Brooks. Jimmy Dean's was another food issue that had these autos of HOF players. Most of the ones I own are from that company. I wish I had known about those back in the day as I would have bought as many as I could. In the early/mid 90s when these came out all of the players were long retired and would have been considered players from the vintage card era. Gosh darn it, I wish I were aware of these when they came out!!

When I finally perfect my time machine, these are the types of things that I am going back for!!!
