When I think of Isaac Hayes I think of Richard Roundtree too......."Blacktion" movies I believe they were called in the '70's.......

It is funny how if you are older you equate Issac Hayes with Shaft and if you are younger you equate him with South Park. And if you are in between you probably associate him with the movie "Escape From New York". I fall into the first category! LMAO!!

The term you are refering to is Blaxploitation an obvious combination of Black and Exploitation. Not sure what the exploitation part wsa as a lot of Black actors and musciians made a lot of money off of those films. That "exploitation" part most likely came from White college academia because as we all know those people know "so much".

Besides the actors a lot of big hits came off of those soundtracks from artists like Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield and Issac Hayes. That whole genre of movies and music was a lot bigger and had greater societal impact than it is given credit for.

And despite great demand for it, I shall not start a side topic on "Trouble Man". LMAO!!!
