When I think of Isaac Hayes I think of Richard Roundtree too......."Blacktion" movies I believe they were called in the '70's.......But I'm talkin' about Shaft...
I did a movie with Richard Roundtree 40+ years ago. What a class act!

It is funny how if you are older you equate Issac Hayes with Shaft and if you are younger you equate him with South Park. And if you are in between you probably associate him with the movie "Escape From New York". I fall into the first category! LMAO!!When I think of Isaac Hayes I think of Richard Roundtree too......."Blacktion" movies I believe they were called in the '70's.......
I probably fall in between the older/middle..........I remember my Dad taking me to see "Uptown Saturday Night" when I was young and didn't understand any of it........Maybe I should watch it now..........I loved Richard Pryor and remember his comedy albums...........Those would not fly in today's PC world, especially the first one from 1968..........It is funny how if you are older you equate Issac Hayes with Shaft and if you are younger you equate him with South Park. The term you are refering to is Blaxploitation an obvious combination of Black and Exploitation. Not sure what the exploitation part wsa as a lot of Black actors and musciians made a lot of money off of those films. That "exploitation" part most likely came from White college academia because as we all know those people know "so much".
Besides the actors a lot of big hits came off of those soundtracks from artists like Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield and Issac Hayes. That whole genre of movies and music was a lot bigger and had greater societal impact than it is given credit for.
And despite great demand for it, I shall not start a side topic on "Trouble Man". LMAO!!!
Ain't no bad joke like a Hispanic dad joke....A buddy of mine from Chicago (he happens to be of Mexican descent) called this guy Vinny Greenballs. Get it???
Best looking set in baseball card history. Not necessarily this particular card but oveall it is tough to beat. And the backs are as nice as the fronts! Oddly enough, the Mantle card is probably his worst looking one. But over all the 1967 Topps set RULZ (to quote Beavis and Buttt-head)!
