Always the Padawan, never the Jedi......Ok, so i don't have the patience like @hodee4 to do marathon showings. Here's that team set in its entirety... was very pleased with the quality of these. In the not-too-distant future this company should have some 90's team sets. A '94 topps Finest team set would be sweet!!

Interesting set but where is Tubbs? He was on the 1966 team but no card of him. When Greta finds out................Ok, so i don't have the patience like @hodee4 to do marathon showings. I forgot about Jerry Rhome. The Cowboy backup I remember is Craig Morton, who went on to great success with Denver in the mid 70s.Interesting set but where is Tubbs? He was on the 1966 team but no card of him. When Greta finds out................
I knew I had heard of Pete Gent but could not remember why. Turns out he worte "North Dallas Forty". And come to find out he went to Michigan State and never played football but was a big time basketball player who led MSU in scoring for three straight seasons. DAMN, I had no idea about any of that including the fact he went to MSU much less that he never played football there but was a basketball player. He played several years for Dallas and started some games in spite of never playing college football.
And I never heard of the guy on the bottom right. Turns out he played and started at cornerback for several seasons for Dallas. His main sport was Track and Field although he y started for the University of Oregon as a Senior. The oddest thing about him was he was allergic to grass and sued those n'er do well Cowboys for medical malpractice.
Where the world did this come from?? Never heard or seen any of these before. Very cool!
I'm glad this little set did more than just look cool. I saw that about Pete Gent. Figured you'd get a kick outta him going to MSU. I knew the Cowboys took chances on athletes that never played football... talk about good coaching! Tubbs was a player/coach by this time (1966) I believe, giving Chuck Howley, I think, the starting spot of MLB.Interesting set but where is Tubbs? He was on the 1966 team but no card of him. When Greta finds out................
