Good call, fashion police!

According to google, it's a "light-blue long-sleeved satin warmup jacket" and that the pic would have been taken during spring training where it may have still be chilly enough to wear one. But it looks more plasticy than I remember them being.

I remember having those jackets in high school. Our varsity coach was also a part time teacher and scout for the Reds. We were probably one of the only high schools in MN that wore them. Ours however, were black and just had "Winhawk Baseball " stiched on the left side. Affectionately nick named the hefty bag, coach wanted us to wear them during workouts. We also swung these weighted bats that i later found out had been aquired years ago from the Reds and minor leagues system when players would break their bats, back before as coach put it "everything became collectable " so in theory one of us could have had a Pete Rose, Frank Robinson, Tony Perez, or Joe Morgan bat and not even realize it.

Sudden Sam McDowell, one of the only recognizable stars of the Indians in the mid/late 60s. 5 time strikeout leader, one time ERA leader and 1970 pitcher of the Year.

I always thought he looked like the actor who played Nick Barkley in the mid 60s TV Western "The Big Valley".

Wow! That card is 10 bucks now? I need to get an updated price guide!

Yeah, the last 28 cards in the 528 card 1978 Topps set were 4 picture checklists for each team. They went in alphabetical order with Atlanta being card #501 and Washington being the last card at #528.

Sometimes I think I know too much about old football cards for my own good. However, I gotta admit I've never heard of the Bears Sack Leader Ron Rydalch until just now so I must have had other things going on in my life at that time. LMAO!!!

I'm a bit of a Civil War buff and I have visited this site, which is less than an hour from where I live. It also mentions Bennett Place, another site that is even closer and I've been several times. Maybe I'll go back this summer!

I'm glad you did not torment me by posting the Bo Jackson Master Blaster #692 from that 1991 Score set. I have 2 1991 Score basbell sets that have 892 of the 893 cards and the card I lack in both is the Bo Master Blaster card. I cannot get it anywhere. Sometimes I think I'll trip across a 1952 Topps Mantle before I find one of those. To put things in perspective I have 25 dupliate Chipper Jones RCs from that set..........and yes I actually just counted them. But the Master Blaster of Bo? Forget it.

McDowell had all the tools to be a hall of fame pitcher. Sadly, he had a serious drinking problem which bollocksed up his career.

Very cool - thank you for the info. Wonder if they knew that Bull Run and Manassas were the same battle.... Will be passing through Gettysburg this weekend, may have to hop out and step in some mud and bring it back and create my own relics!
