You can only get his 1963 Topps RC and his 1962 Post Cereal the latter I do not believe I have. I have a lot of those 1962 Post Cereals and a pre rookie card of someone the stature of Bob Lilly I surely would have remembered. I will have to check on that but I'm not feeling very otimistic that I have that card.

Too bad the 2024 Olympics don't have a helmet throw since Bob Lilly would have been a medal contender. He threw his helemt about 40 yards in Super Bowl V when Jim O'Brien made the game winning FG.............and no flag was thrown. Gotta love the Old School!
For some reason I thought he had a '61 and '62... there are 5x7s out there of him somewhere when he was a rookie.

I remember when I was a kid I was so confused by the position designation. It just says End with no qualifier of Defense or Offense. There were Cornerbacks and Safeties that were designated Halfback (like Paul Krause or Jimmy Johnson), and you had Guards and Tackles (like Roger Brown or Bob Brown or Henry Jordan) but never knew which side of the ball they played on.
Funny you should mention the late Roger Brown since he is maybe the #1 reason I got into sports cards at such a young age. When I could open a pack of cards and get a card of someone I had actually met through connection to my dad, that tends to spark one's interest!

Hey all u Mickster fans I saw a new magazine at Wally World tonight about his career. Lots of great pictures and captions... lol I bet the whole thing is a good read too!

cool card

Those Super Vet cards in 1983 Topps always made sense except for one. Gene Garber! I have no idea how he was one of the SV cards since those were all big time HOF/HOFish type players like Bench, Reggie, Gaylord, Yaz and on and on. Somehow Gene Garber made it in this subset. I was buying new issues very heavily back then and his cards never stood out to me except for being part of a complete set. The only thing I can actually tell you about Gene Garber is he made the Super Vet list in 1983 Topps!

Gotta give that card a like since Stepnoski is one of my ethnic peeps.

Why does that card say Houston Oilers? I did not know he played for them unless it is an error.
Wish it was an error... he went to Houston for a few years then came back for the rest of career. Not sure of circumstances... always a Cowboy to me tho.
