Nah, it wouldn't fit into my collection if it was........
Hard to believe that the Cowboys have had 3 different rushing champions and Dorsett was not one of them! I think when he retired he was 3rd or 4th on the All Time Rushers list so you'd think he had led the NFL in rushing at least once, but nope.
I'm too much of a pansy to trust strangers with my cards so I never send them in for grading despite my brother constantly imploring me to do so.
There is a philosophy that every Mantle card should be graded which I understand but am not willing to do myself. I guess coming up through the hobby in the era of counterfeit cards and tampered "unopened" packs has stuck with me through the years. When it comes to cards, I am the modern day equivalent of people from the Old West that didn't trust banks and kept their money in their mattress or buried it in their yard.. LOL

I didn't realize he came to East Lansing as part of an Army Air Corps training program. I also did not realize he went to MSC (now MSU) to play basketball, not baseball, after the end of WWII. The things I learn these days about my alma mater!!! LOL

Could you even imagine a pitcher like Robin Roberts in today's game? Think about this - six years in a row in the 1950s he pitched over 300 innings. It would take 12 years for the best starting pitchers today to equal that, and 90% of them have burned out before they even get to 12 years. And Roberts pitched like that for 19 years - 8 more years with over 200 innings. On mostly terrible Phillies teams where he was the only bright spot. I take that back, they also had Richie Ashburn, the hits leader of the 50s decade.
This is the other '71 I was referencing earlier with Munson...........Looks like a majority of the action shots in this set were done in Philadelphia (Connie Mack) and New York (Yankee Stadium).......Go figure with Topps being so close to both........
