In the late 1970s and early 80s some scumbag used to put a classified in the back of the weekly Sports Collector's Digest wanting to buy 1973 Topps John Hilton rookies. Nice! Between forged cards, tampered with wax packs and guys like this, no wonder card collectors and dealers had bad reputations. There were a ton of bad actors in the hobby back then for sure.
Hilton was born in Uvalde, TX, which was made infamous a few years ago......My hometown, Springfield, OH, is known for its citizenry eating cats and dogs and wild geese........God Bless the USA.......

Ok, so when I bought everything and anything of Irvin I came across this. It's a super thin acetate card. Could it be for post production to check for flaws? I put the white paper underneath to make it stand out better...

I think it was used back in the day as part of the printing process........Col;d be a proof as well......
