I'm just waiting for the songs she will undoubtedly right about him. Seems that she made her fortune on her personal relationships and misfortune growing up. Maybe I'm wrong here but that is the angle I'm working with.
As far as the ring goes, when I used to work at Kohl's and helped on checkouts i saw little old ladies wearing the most god awful big, gaudy, ugly &&! rings you can imagine. If your spending so much on a piece of jewelry that you can't wear in public, what is the point of buying it?
As for my cards, it's about the only thing i have to pass on to the kids so hopefully it will remind them of me.

Doesn't she sing about breakups and getting dumped? If Travis treats her like a queen her "art" will suffer. Maybe she'll switch genres... she started out a country singer. She's rapped one of Eminem's songs at a concert...
And I would think those 2 are gunna have so many bodyguards and security the ring is probably safer on her finger than at her home... especially with all the robberies of celebs lately.
And count your blessings, bro!! To have people to pass things down to should not be taken for granted! I'll be 41 in a week... I realize I probably won't have kids. I don't even have nieces or nephews... my Dad left me stuff that I wouldn't give up for a billion dollars. As I write this I'm actually getting a ring he wore resized so I can wear it. Trying not to get all mushy... but family heirlooms are the most important things to keep. I hope your kids appreciate your collection and treat it as something you found joy in doing, those are the best mementos...
That is a fair point. I realized a few years ago that they will each get an authentic Puckett autograph (the 3 times I met him in person) and will also get the Topps set from their birth year. The rest they can fight over. I think at some point I will have to decide when to stop putting together flagship sets for them. Thinking 2029 will be a good spot as that will be the year 1980 (my first year of collecting) will be the design for the Heritage set. (now I feel old).
As for Taylor, yes usually her songs are about break ups. And as far as the rings, i know Elvis used to put band aids on his fingers to prevent fans who he shook hands with at concerts to prevent them from sliding them off his fingers. I think at Aloha concert (the jumpsuit with the eagle design) there are a couple songs where you can see fans trying to pull that big ass diamond ring off his left hand. Maybe Taylor can employ that trick to keep it on her finger.

Hard to believe that with all the rushing titles the Cowboys have had that Dorsett never won one. Sad to see he has been struggling with CTE for over a decade now.
