I didn't notice that about him, was only around him for about 5 seconds... but I believe it! Irvin was jacked too. Probably more muscular than his playing days. Mark Stepnoski was the only one there that I saw that probably wouldn't have been able to suit up again. But, that's because he looked to be about 175 lbs. Far cry from his playing days! Warren Moon was there the first night. It was an Oilers/Cowboys signing... and he looked in shape too. It was the first night of the event and only about 4 players were signing so there weren't very many people there at all. There was no one in line for Warren Moon!! If I was thinking, I would have gotten a mini helmet from one of the vendors and bought a ticket to get his auto.... speaking of vendors at autograph shows... PURE VULTURES!!! I was behind a lady that got a custom Cowboys Full Size helmet signed by Tony Dorsett. I thought it was awesome! The next day I walk by and see her behind her table with that same signed helmet for $250!!! Jeff.... cue Gretta.....
I agree with the vendors. I remember one year at TwinsFest, I would always hot the card tables, and get items I needed or things for players signing. One year I came across a card I needed for a player, who was my favorite as I became a baseball fan so included it in the ones I was getting and dude looks at me and goes "Castino isn't here why are you getting this?" I thought to myself "well if you don't want to make a sale, why did you bring guys who are not here??"

Lee Roy Jordan '67 Philadelphia RC
View attachment 115306
I did not realize Jordan just passed away in August. That's too bad.

If you think replacing Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky or Tom Brady was hard, Lee Roy Jordan had to replacee the GOAT of Middle Linebackers who we all know was Jerry Tubbs, OK maybe not thew GOAT but he replacesd the guy on one of my most memorable cards from my childhood........ the 1965 Philadelphia Jerry Tubbs. It was just one of those very random cards that stuck in my mind for many decades.

If memory serves... Tubbs relinquished his spot for Lee Roy to play, and Tubbs became a coach. Landry probably watched Lee Roy like a hawk just waiting for him to mess up so he could convince Tubbs to go back to playing. Tubbs was 37 when Lee Roy came in to the NFL in '67, but those guys were built different! Probably most of them worked on farms since they were 5....

Working on a farm in the off season back then may not have been all that far fetched. About 5 or 6 months ago Scobes posted a pic of a late 1960s card of Dennis Hull of the Chicago Blackhawks as well as Bobby Hull's brother. He was an NHL All Star and the back of his card read "Dennis works on a farm in the off season". WHAT? That was just amazing to read! I wonder which was harder, the NHL regular season or the off season?

Im stumped because it has 32/47 no clue what it means since im still new to baseball cards and how everything works
I'm a football guy, but one of the many baseball guys will explain it all... hold tight, Saturdays are funky on here. Lots of people on and off the site.... you'll get there. Cool card regardless...

Woah! With philosophical takes like that, people will start calling you "Grasshopper". If you know where that nickname comes from I'll be shocked. But I'll cue up Beavis to give you a hint of where it comes from.

Yes, it's the Presidential parallel /47. You can search eBay for sales of other player /47's. $10 sounds about right.
