But.... knowing you, I'm probably wrong and it comes from some obscure movie from the 70s.... lol

Close but not quite. It is from the a very famous early/mid 70's TV show called "Kung Fu" which starred David Carradine as Kwai Chang Caine who was orphaned as a child and raised by Shao Lin Monks. The blind monk always called him Grasshopper. Pretty much the gist of the show was he traveled the Old West and kicked @$$ and took names where ever he found injustice. Good show actually and I'm surprised it is never on reruns.

Believe it or not I've never seen "Karate Kid" but know that Mr. Miyagi is a character from that movie (movies?). "Karate Kid" is far too modern of a movie for me..........which is not all that much of an exaggeration!. LMAO!!

It always make me smile when you hear about players off season jobs. I remember hearing about former Twins pitcher AL Williams was at one point a Nigaraguan Freedom Fighter. Not sure if thar was an off season deal or something he did before he got drafted but, fascinating nonetheless

Dang! I did not know that but it is on his Wikipedia page, That iis even tougher than farm work!!!

Kung-Fu... was that the one with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker? lmao
I've actually HEARD of that show... it was referenced in a movie called Office Space with Ron Livingston and Jennifer Anniston. Ron's character tells Jenn's character there's a Kung-Fu marathon on TV he's going to watch and she can join him if she wants. She says, "I.. Love.. Kung-Fu.." Later it shows them watching the show and it actually cuts to the TV screen they're watching and shows Kung-Fu.... so I guess technically I HAVE seen Kung-Fu! Also in the cartoon Bob's Burgers there's an episode that probably based an old TV show Bob and his daughter watched on Kung-Fu... I doubt any network would touch that show because of how Carradine died... just sayin.

How 'bout Walt Garrison? A pro Bull Rider and rancher in the 70's... Tony Casillas is also a rancher. I think Jay Novacek is too...
