I always wondered if Danny Ainge and Larry Bird were ringers in and Boston area men's baseball or softball leagues. Bird did play a little baseball at Indiana State also
What a great set and one of my absolute favorites. I wish I could say I have this complete set but I only have about half of them. There are so many short prints it is extremely difficult to complete.
You'd really like the Eagles cards from this set as they are all pictured in front of Franklin Field.
Think I've got some duals lined up.....
If that card was 84/88 it would be that much better.

Deceitful!! Rookie REVIEW.... not his Rookie year, even though it has "2007" AND "Rookie" on the front. This is a 2008 card!! I knew that when I bought it, though. Just like complaining sometimes!

Very nice! My kind of autographed card. Started his career in the AFL with the Oilers which was a big plus for me.
Ever notice how you can actually read the signatures of the older players while the modern players autos are more often than not illegible??
Down here in Arkansas our dirvers license had to have our signature, for whatever reason... it had to be just regular cursive not an autograph. At the DMV we had to do this on one of those electronic pads where you couldn't see what you were writing. It had to fit in a certain spot on the license and be readable. I kid you not, it took me more than 10 times before it was acceptable. I was so effin' frustrated!! I had forgotten how to write regular cursive! My signature is one you can't tell what the letters are or what the name is... and I don't write in cursive... I had to renew my license last September and was dreading that part... we get to that part of the renewal and the DMV lady says it can be our regular signature now. Apparently ALOT of people were having issues with regular cursive and they changed the way we could sign. I don't think schools teach cursive anymore either.
Your comment about old school signatures made me think of that....
I have Ken Houston's autograph on a Miami-Houston program from 1968. He had yet to make his reputation as a HoF safety.
They use to teach cursive writing in school.........I don't think it's done anymore.......
Picked up this weekend......Has problems but for $40 I can live with them........Also picked up the Belanger from '67, plus a '66 Hi # and 3 '63's I need........Zero Heritage at all but tons of Japanese collector cards...........
