I get it....today is St. Patrick's Day.....Montana went to ND.....Fighting Irish....nice end around!!
Ya! Someone got it! ....honestly I didn't realize it is St. Patrick's Day until the radio person told me this morning! lol I'm diggin' your take on it, though! Respect!
I'm 75% British and 25% German... weird combo I know! I guess that's why I hate myself so much! 🤣

Funny how Fleer could use the team logos but not the player's names. And it was visa-versa for Topps pre 1982.

There is a second Joe Montana card in the 1982 Fleer set from the Pro Bowl pictured below.

Yes, I am a fountain of useless old football trivia.
What team is that guy in the white helmet from? Bills? The player falling behind the Rams player looks like a Bills helmet. Or is he in Falcons helmet and guy jumping in the white helmet Bills?
The Bills might have gone through the most changes in helmet design... never looked. Dolphins would be up there. The Dolphin used to be so happy... now it's a menacing dolphin! lol Who else? Cowboys Star has changed many times over the years... size and design. It's so tiny now... I like the 70's Star. Took up entire side of helmet, and just Blue outlined in White. Broncos? Redskins/Commanders (Do you consider them 1 or 2 teams?)
Ok... my rant is over. Time to find out what A.I. says.....

EDIT-One of my guesses has had the most changes... the next 2 on the list I didn't think of....

The guy #76 in the white helmet is Fred Smerlas of the Bills. I wish they'd go back to the old AFL standing Bill helmet. I always liked that one.

The Redskins had a ton of different helmets. One had a feather running up the back of the helmet instead of a stripe. And right after that they had a lance or spear on the sides of the helmet at a 45 degree angle. Thoxe were during Dalworth High's finest tenure with the team.

The "happy dolphin" was supposed to be Flipper from a popular mid 60's TV show of the same name. I can't remember anything about that show except teh theme song and that chattering sound that Flipper made.

"They call him Flipper, Flipper, faster than lightning,
No-one you see, is smarter than he,"

Goodness I just had a flashback and I have not seen that show in nearly 60 years! LMAO!!!

I'm thinking Tampa Bay might be a team with a lot of helmet changes.

Well, A.I. considered Washington 1 team, I'm assuming because they never moved... so they have had the most changes. And you're also right about Tampa Bay! Apparently, they changed the color of the helmet alot. Then The Jets round out the top 3. I agree with you on the Bills helmet. At least they went back to white helmets.
Kinda funny we got on this topic... for Christmas and my Birthday each year my Dad would buy me a mini-helmet of a different NFL team. I think he did it more for him... but now I have all 32 teams plus alternate/vintage helmets of alot of teams. He just so happened to buy The Jaguars helmet in '95, so I have their original "Bounding Jaguar" helmet. I don't have the Ravens original but happy to have The Dallas Texans helmet next to a Dallas Cowboys '60 helmet....

94 UD Collectors Choice #26 Kirk Presley.

One of "what could have been " Mets pitching prospects from the early 90. Pulshipher, Isringhausen, Wilson, Presley...
So many collectors thought this was the next Palmer, McNally, Cuellar, Dobson or Maddux, Smoltz, Glavine, Avery rotation. Once again prospects who end up being suspects.

I think Kirk Presley was also supposed to be a distant cousin of Elivs....... Presley, not Costello.

Right, I think he is a third cousin. Remember one year Harold Reynolds and Matt Vasgersian interviewed him on the morning show on MLB Network on Elvis' birthday. He had a phenomenal high school career going 37-1 with 5 no no's and a perfecto. Senior Year was 15-0 with a 0.58 ERA. Kinda like Joe Mauer only striking out 1 time in high school, but with less major league or even pro ball success.

Yeah it's crazy to think about the hype some of these guys get and how are they even about to live up to it.

67 Clemente
Best looking baseball set ever made. The backs match the fronts as far as attractiveness. !969 Topps is #2.

The funny thing about the 1967 Topps set is as nice looking as it was, its' Mickey Mantle may have been his worst looking card.

I mean isringhausen ended having an ok career as a reliever, however kinda like Jefferies, no where near the kind of player he was "supposed to be "
