I have never heard of a Marathon bar - but I now know that I will be searching for one this weekend as we drive through Gettysburg on our way to baseball tourneys!
The candy I miss the most is Brach's Pick-A-Mix at retail places, i.e., grocery stores........Loved the carmel Royals, and the jelly nougat things.......
There was a Piggly Wiggly store in Milwaukee that still had Pick a Mix up to about 8 years or so ago
Broke a jumbo and hobby of the series 2, thought I'd share the good stuff....very happy with the Pujols patch/auto! Smith auto #d to 25, Harper #d 3/5, and the Diamond Dust Acuna is supposedly a tougher card to get....have 1 jumbo and hobby left to open, guessing they won't be as good as these were....
Flag Day.... June 14, 1777 Congress passed the law and stipulations on what our new nation's official flag will be. Thirteen Stripes alternating in Red and White, Blue Field with White Stars. June 14th is also the "birthday" of THE United States Army, established in 1775.
I don't care if you're a Dem. or Rep. or Ind. or Undecided... If I see you disrespecting the flag we're gunna have a problem. All these protesters with the American flag flown upside down. I wonder how many know what it signifies. A flag flown upside down was/is used by boats and ships to tell others they are in distress and need assistance. Some people just look silly trying to show they want to be a cool kid and defy authority.
