These were my goals at the beginning of the year, and what I accomplished:

1) Boost my haves in 1993 Stadium Club 1st Day Issue FB form 441/550 to 475+/550
(got to 452, so not completed)
2) Complete my 2006 Finest baseball set (current -4 auto RCs)
(completed)
3) Cut my 1973 & 1978 Topps baseball sets to under 15 each (60 & 35 currently)
(did it and just need the 1973 Yanks TC #556 for full sets of both)
4) Knock my 2004 Cracker Jack Mini down to 2 or less and my 2005 CJ Sticker to 10 or less
(1/2 done, mini needs one while I still need about 25 of the sticker)
5) Complete two of my oh so close football parallel sets from the 1990's
(I'm getting the last 1994 UD Electric Silver, need one card on so many)
6) Get last two cards for my 1976 Star Trek and post my needs in Star Trek CCGs
(got the first set and need 5 for a second, didn't post CCG)
7) Complete one or both of my 1996 & 1997 Finest baseball sets (need 2 & 6 Gold SPs)
(completed 1996 down to 4 in 1997)
8) Get one or two remaining cards for my 2001 Finest baseball set
(completed)
9) Knock each of my Superior football auto sets down under 10 (22 from 94, 13 from 95)
(nope, down to 15 and 10)
10) Substantial progress on 1994, 1995, 1996 Pinnacle Trophy Collection football
(two away on 1995, I might have gone backward on 1994 in helping another Benchie)

I'm actually pretty happy considering my challenges this year.

For me, with all the mess around UD/MLB/MLBPA/Licenses etc., it seems to me that the only set that I will work on is the venerable Topps/Topps Traded base set. Since that won't keep me too busy for too long, I am thinking that 2010 will see me concentrating on my 70's Topps sets. My ultimate goal has always been to have a set for every year of my life. Next year will hopefully get me closer to that goal.

Well, Ive made a lot of progress on this. Down to a few left for my 74, 75, 77 and 78 sets. (I did cheat a little and buy a 75 set)

Adding to my goals: Get SC status for Tommy John. Just need some more YSL cards to get that % over 40.

I didn't do so well with my 2009 collecting goals (or the year in general, for that matter... lol), so here's hoping that 2010 is a much better year.

1. Get to 3600 different Chippers. (Currently at 3210 as of 12/31/09)
2. Complete the 2007 Moments & Milestones Chipper Jones base set ***/150. (Currently at 425/518 as of 12/31/09)
3. Knock off some more of the Chipper Jones base cards that I still am looking for.
4. Get to 100 different Joe Flacco cards. (Currently at 31 as of 12/31/09)
5. Reach 750 trades and 5000 posts to get to the next level of the Bench HOF.
6. Clear out the rest of my older commons. C'mon, yard sale!
7. Attend The National in Baltimore.

1. Just hit 3500 today! Not quite as good of a year as I hoped, but by the end of the year, I will have added over 300 Chippers to my collection this year. Not bad at all.
2. Currently at 467/518 with 51 to go. I do know where some of them are, I just need to commit to buying them... LOL.
3. I've hit the roadblock of not being able to find the ones I'm looking for... the search continues for those elusive Chipper base cards.
4. Currently sitting at 76, but have some incoming. I might still make it. We'll see.
5. Done and then some.
6. Last minute September yard sale and I did manage to move out dome of the cards that I had. Slowly moving them out year-by-year.
7. Went 3 of the 4 days and had a blast. Bring on 2012!

Will do a post on December 31 with final totals for the year.

I hope to reach these milestones in the upcoming year:
- Paul O'Neill Collection --> 1,000 mark (currently 950) COMPLETE
- 1952-2009 Yankees Topps Team Sets --> 1,500 mark (currently 950) COMPLETE (huge thanks to Stu, drpid for all his help!)
- 1986/87 Fleer Basketball Set --> 125 mark (currently 115) @119/132
- '90s Yankees Autos --> 25 mark (currently 11) COMPLETE

Other collecting goals:
- Get my first 1/1 COMPLETE
- Send out TTMs for Spring Training 2010 (none sent out)
- Acquire all 1987 Cone, and 1992 Brosius rookies COMPLETE
- Finish up all non-sport sets (only 10 cards left)
- Start scanning my O'Neill collectionCOMPLETE thru 1995

I'm very happy with my progress this year.

1. Get started on a 1970 Topps baseball set by June or so.
2. Complete the 2010 Topps base and Updates & Higlights series.
3. Possibly start a player collection, either Gil Hodges or Carl Furillo.
4. Clean up some of the variation cards I need from Topps sets, especially the 1974 Washington cards. This one is left over from last year.
5. Continue to catalog and scan - atleast make some attempt to get organized.

1. Technically I started (33/720 or 4.5%). I'm just not "feeling" another hard set like this.
2. Done and done (and one for my daughter too.)
3. Decided on Furillo (step one), picked up a few and added a page to my site.
4. Cleaned up all of the 1974 Washington variations, but still missing a few from 1988 and 1989 Topps.
5. Actually, I was doing well here until I lost my PC (and alot of scans) to hard drive failure.

These were my collecting goals for this year:

Top 100 Lou Gehrig game used cards
Pick up a Pre-War HoF auto
Purchase an actual game used jersey
Complete my modern base set want list
Track down that elusive 2001 SP Legendary Cuts Babe Ruth jersey
Finish at least one vintage set (1960, 1963, 1968 are probably the closest to completion)

I completed these:
Top 100 Lou Gehrig game used cards
Pick up a Pre-War HoF auto
Purchase an actual game used jersey

Still a few sets short of my modern want list, found a Ruth 01 Legendary Cuts jersey on which I lost because I stopped bidding at $850 and it topped $900, and did not get close on a vintage set. Maybe I will do better next year.

Only at 40 autos

2001 Private stock:
Goal met! At 106 from the set.

1998 Topps stars:
Fail, Only added 10-15 cards between all 4 sets.

Expanding Collection:
Picked up autos of Astros prospects
Also picked up ~10 older player GU including Mantle, Dimaggio
Also have ~12 cut autos, mostly of HOF players.

Overall 2010 was pretty successful, think I got a little overzealous with some goals, but hopefully we can meet those this year.

Get to 50 autos (Currently at 22)

Get to 100 card for my 2001 Private stock set (Currently at 63)

Complete the 1998 topps stars Red and Bronze sets

I'm also looking to expand my collecting interests some. Looking to pick up autos of some of the Astros new prospects (Mier, Bushue)
Also looking to get some pre-war GU and cut autos.

Should be a lot of fun this year.
