I thought I saw way back when that someone had diagnosed him with Multiple Sclerosis (not sure of the spelling)...?

Ahh yea thats right... he was diagnosed with MS towards the end of his career, and continued playing while on drugs until MS got the best of him and he could no longer pitch. I wonder now if he is doing all right
