This is the first time I ever noticed that Ed Shultz's name was missing on the front and I've seen this card more than I care to remember! Ends up it is an uncorrected error. I was a big Tiger's fan back then too which makes it more surprising I never noticed that error.

BTW How did a pitcher with an 11-19 record and a 4.10 ERA get named to the 1961 All-star team TWICE?? Admittedly the Phillies were an all-time terrible team that year (107 losses).

He was the only Phillie on the NL roster. I'll bet there was a rule that there had to be at least one player from each team on the All Star rosters.

Yeah, but still. They didn't choose relief pitchers in those days, but the Phils did have a relief guy with 59 K in 65 innings. Mahaffey was just plain not good.

I picked up this 2nd yr Bradshaw this week. It's not pack sharp, but no creases or dings, and for ten bucks I think it's presentable.
