That is REALLY nice! I am a sucker for regional/oddball issues and that Puckett certainly qualifies!View attachment 92625
Found the elusive 1987 Twins team issue set at a antique shop in Red Wing MN today. Hope I didn’t overpay for the set but a new Puckett for the collection
Exactly. And it’s funny because there is a parallel version with World Champions gold foil stamp that was pulled in Feb of 88 because the Twins apparently didn’t have licensing clearance! Seems a bit weird that a major league team does not have the rights to do that. That is REALLY nice! I am a sucker for regional/oddball issues and that Puckett certainly qualifies!

My blasters of A&G have been boring at best. Granted, they were the 2022 that are on clearance but still very unnoteworthy.
Wait something is wrong here! Bob Gibson started 3 games and pitched 27 innings? By today's standards 27 innings is about 6 starts worth of pitching. If someone did that today, the National Labor Relations Board would be called in to correct this matter of over work!
Three franchise pitchers that were mainstays in 60s and 70s Topps cards. I always thought Sam McDowell looked like Peter Breck who played Nick Barkley on The Big Valley.
I remember that series well. My mother was a big Cardinal fan and she ran a WS pool for the kids. May she RIP.
