1 used o be mine. I wish I'd never sold my set since they are hard to come by.

BTW what do they book for now? I think #1 used to be $10 and then they doubled in price every card after that. Curious as to what they are now.
They book for: 6, 10, 20, 25 now. You're right, they are hard to come by... especially in decent condition. This is the second ES3 I've bought. The first go 'round didn't go too well...

Thanks! I think in the mid 90s they were 10, 20, 40 and 80. That was when the Cowboys and Emmitt were dominating the NFL. Kind of sad to say that era of Cowboys is almost an afterthought these days. I'm not a Cowboys fan but those Super Bowl winning teams were the best teams I ever saw and I've seen just about all of them in the Super Bowl era.

Cowboys were also dominating the card world then... For giggles I got out my April 1994 Beckett with Emmitt on the front and looked a few things up. The '92 Pro Set Hologram cards were 35, 40, 50, and 80 that month... down from the previous month! And yes, it is sad to agree that those days are barely talked about unless citing a negative incident. So it goes, I guess... You know I'll be here another 30 years (hopefully) touting the 90s Cowboys, though!!

Wow! My memory of the values of those 1992 Emmitt Holograms was pretty good. Props to me! LOL

I'm not sure what they book for now but for me the 2 most undervalued football cards have been the 1990 Score Traded and Fleer Update Emmitt RCs.. Combining his on the field accomplishements and the relative scarcity of both cards, they have been shockingly low for decades.

What a sorry excuse for a Refractor! And, Gold, for that matter... my first, and possibly last '08 Topps Chrome Gold Refractor... I guess

I was at a shop today that has one of the best vintage shops in the area and they hadba Drew Pearson rookie. Wanted 45 for it, a bit out of price range today. But it looked nice. Did end up picking up a 69 Killebrew, 69 Stargell, 76 Tarkenton, 78 Brett and a 67 or 68 Game Yastrzemski

I think $45 would be fair if it's sharp and centered. But, them not sending it in to get graded and then sell would be a little red flag and would make me question the $45 asking price... unless ya'll just hate Drew Pearson THAT much up there that they are trying to rid it of the shop, then I would go back to $45 being a decent asking price. lol
Speaking of Drew Pearson... an ebay seller sent this along with a purchase I made. Third time I've gotten a "free" auto of a Cowboys Super Star. Romo, Lilly, Pearson. Is this a sign I'm paying too much and they feel bad for me???

Not speaking for any Packers fans, but I don't mind Drew. I'm so out of touch with FB pricing that I thought I'd ask someone who knew a bit more.

I think it's cool your getting bonus autos, always a high light

For sure! If it's still there next time u go maybe try haggling a little and see if they would come down on price. Couldn't hurt.
I'm thinking about sending in the 3 autos I was given to be authenticated. They look legit, but you never can be too sure. I have several IP autos I've gotten myself, those don't need authentication... getting 3 sent to me, of those players, kinda makes me go hmmm...

Right? This was the same place that held the 84 Fleer Update Puckett for me so, there's a chance. As I was getting ready to leave I saw a 81 Topps Joe Montana rookie graded 6, so I was telling the guy about receiving a box of 81 football for my birthday that year, but at the time (Nov 81) I didn't know about Joe, but having just moved from Montana the previous year would have been cool to get. Got skunked on Montana but seemed like there was a Walter Payton in every other pack.

Those 1975 Topps football are terrible cards to find centered. Forget 50/50 jI'm just talking about decent centering. The amount of totally miscut cards (talking 0/100) is astounding.

What dos the Drew Pearson RC ook for anyways?

60 big ones! That set had some good RC's in it... a time when you either had long hair, no hair, or tried having both lol Best card in the set imo... Tom Dempsey... that mustache is epic!

I picked mine up at auction 3 years ago for $10.

Thanks! it was $20 in my 2021 Vintage Beckett. I think that was printed before he went into the HOF. I need to get an updated guide, That sounds odd but vintage cards stayed flat literally for decades before the Pandemic. Not the case anymore especially for HOF rcs. You might remember my shock last month when you gave me the updated bvs for the Stabler, Harris and Langer RCs from 1973 Topps.
