Oh I've got plenty of guys that will be a good representative of the holiday... I'll probably throw down a Michael Phelps card. lolShould have posted this on page 420! Or waited till April![]()
Google Nate Newton marijuana and be prepared to be shocked!!Should have posted this on page 420! Or waited till April![]()
Oh yes, I definately remember that arrest! I cannot temember if 420 was his playing weight or the number of pounds of the Chronic he had on himGoogle Nate Newton marijuana and be prepared to be shocked!!
That last one shocks me as well!Marty Veddnoski... he emigrated to Canada to be able to smoke freely. That's amazing to me! Not sure if he's still there or moved back to a US state with super righteous laws on weed... Megan Rapone (probably spelled that wrong) is a stoner. Calvin Johnson, too... that one kinda surprised me!
Oh and Ron Washington, Rangers' ex manager, did everything back in his playing days... but, ya know, these guys (and gals) are human... they enjoy the euphoria as much as the next person. Some can control it, some can't/couldn't. Take Brett Favre as an example... he couldn't control it. He went to rehab a couple of times that I know of because of his addiction to opioids. That's one of the hardest drugs to come off of. As much as he was taking I couldn't imagine the withdrawal he went through! You'd think the withdrawal would be enough to make a person say, ok I'm not going through that again, nope! The brain gets rewired and says you NEED the drug... no matter the consequences. And we know ALL the athletes from the early 20th century were on that yayo! Buger sugar.... at least if they drank Coca-Cola!That last one shocks me as well!
Very nice! If i were to ever attempt putting together a full vintage set it'd have to be either '69 or '68 Topps...
Didn't mean to reply to this post but if you ever try a vintage set the 1968 Topps only has 219 cards which is about 50 less than the other NFL Topps sets. That set is a great looking set too. For some odd reason 1968 Topps is one of my weaker sets in terms of duplicates and even weaker now after a transaction I just made. I'm certain you recall giving me some BVS for that last week.2016 RetroCards ('66 Topps) Chuck Howley

Glad u brought that up... I would lean towards the '68 topps for sure. Really sharp looking cards. The values of the '68 cards seem to be higher, too. Saying there's only 219 cards in it still sounds like a mountain of a set, though.Didn't mean to reply to this post but if you ever try a vintage set the 1968 Topps only has 219 cards which is about 50 less than the other NFL Topps sets. NFL Philadelphia sets only have 198 cards in them and are nice looking. The 66 has both the Butkus and Sayers RCs in it so that is a pricey set. The 1965 and 1967 sets are much more affordable to make although the 1965 Jerry Tubbs commands a big premium............albeit juist for me! LMAO!!Glad u brought that up... Not sure why... but I REALLY like this one... and daggum! Talk about sharp and centered... it'd be hard not to give this a 10! I know you don't send in your cards to get graded, but if you did, I think this would have to be part of the first shipment. Here's one for today!
