This'll be fun... I stumbled on to a website that makes vintage sports cards. But they put in players that weren't in the original set or a team set that never existed. Lots of Cowboys! If you want to check them out the website is www.retrocards.net ... I think.
This is what'd look like if topps made Cowboys cards in 1966...

I see BCW has a 360pt magnetic holder....Ultra pro has a 260 and 360pt.....

I'm not sure why I HAVE to have certain cards in screw down cases... OCD I guess. I really don't like the mag cases. I end up dropping them and the card flies out. I don't drop anything else... just the mag cases!! lol
I have one of the super thick cards in an old school holder meant for 20 or so cards... not the ones with hinges, but the one that has a lid that comes completely off. Taped down the sides so it's pretty secure. The other 2 are in toploaders with painter's tape over the top... I get a little carried away when trying to protect my cards!

Gunna go again today... taking a page from Hodee's book and showing each card from the "set"
2016 RetroCards ('66 Topps) Mel Renfro

My favorite all time football set. Just a great looking set from the Topps AFL era,

I just found this out the other day after you posted the Dan Reeves RC. Reeves replced Mel Renfro in the Cowboy's offensive backfield and Renfro was moved to DB where he became a Hall of Famer. Tom Landry wanted more speed on offense so I guess Reeves was faster than Renfro.

Really?! That's very interesting... I dunno bout your source though. Pro Football Reference lists Renfro as Free Safety from '64-'69. Then Cornerback from '70-'77.
He did have a rushing record in '66 with 8 rushes... now... Wikipedia says Reeves was signed by Dallas in '65 to play safety but was moved to halfback because of injuries. Landry moved Renfro to RB in '66 and was injured in the first game of the season...Reeves moved to RB and Perkins was FB. So I guess, ya, Reeves replaced Renfro after 8 plays on offense... so says the almighty internet

I HAVE been known to be wrong before..... lol so this may be another one of my gaffs....
I really liked this set too (based on the ones on RetroCards), I've never had a '66 Topps card since they didn't make any with Cowboys on them... but if anyone's interested in buying something from there I highly reccomend them. The card stock is great. Photo quality is perfect. Very cool odd-ball item.
