I'd never heard of these before until a dealer friend of mine told me about them several decades ago. We were always trading and I ended up picking up one of these from him for about $25 in trade. Some scrub who goes by the name of Ruth. Your post got me curious if I still had it and I do! YAY ME! TCDB shows it books at $160 but I don't know if that is accurate or not.
Lovin' the color scheme and font of this one! - And you want to talk about weird ser. numbering.... take a look at the Beckett listings, or TCdB.... /19, /53, /23, /119, /196, /3!! What the what???Not sure if I've ever seen one of these before last month...about as rare as a 1/1 in my book! Reminds me of the old joke about my heritages' national library that burned down......both books were destroyed and 1 hadn't even been colored in!!!!

He was a mainstay in 1960s football cards. I was surprised to see he went to college at Arkansas Tech which I had never heard of before. Ends up that school is in his hometown of Russellville, Arkansas."Look!! Barely above the ground... it's a big rabbit, it's an ostrich.... no! It's Indifferent Superman!!"
It takes big, massive, gargantuan cahonnes to go from big city livin' to a small, rural farming community in Arkansas. Although, Russelville is about 10x bigger than McGehee today....He was a mainstay in 1960s football cards. I was surprised to see he went to college at Arkansas Tech which I had never heard of before. Ends up that school is in his hometown of Russellville, Arkansas.
He was also born in Dallas and ended up moving to Arkansas. That's odd. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing that beforew. Very strange.
I get it....today is St. Patrick's Day.....Montana went to ND.....Fighting Irish....nice end around!!'82 Fleer - '81 NFC Champ. - Joe Montana
