Jerry Tubbs! The Legend! BTW you posted a card of Frank Clarke recently. I actually don't remember him as a player but certainly remember his cards especially the 1966 Philadelphia. He was an original Cowboy selected in the same expansion draft (from the Browns) as Tubbs and was the very last original Cowboy to retire.
Look like maybe third base side looking into leftfield.......
Very cool! Are they team issued photos?
Those look suspiciously like the photos the Twins would hand out on the Winter Caravan in the mid to late 80's and seeing how you are from Sioux Falls, I would assume possibly that is where you go them perhaps? I remember getting Tony O, Herb Carneal and Tim Laudner in 1984, the first year they did a dinner stop in Winona, MN and KWNO became a part of the Twins radio network.
That is really sad given how big food issues were in the first 40/50 years or so of the hobby. I've always gravitated to these off shoot sets as they are not as plentiful as the major sets. I wonder if they disappeared as the popularity of the hobby declined and the card promotions were just not profitable any more?View attachment 116204
One of the last food issues I remember the 2007 Topps Pepsi. Cards were same pics as flagship but numbers had a red P and then the number.
Although I want to say that Utz snacks did one in the mid 2010's also
Utz was 2017 & 2018, or 2018 & 2019, if I remember correctly. Also a local company. My son played on a travel baseball team with one of the sons from the Utz family.View attachment 116204
