09 Collecting Goals

1) Finish off the 2008 A&G, Heritage baseball. 2008 UD Heros football. 2007-8 & 2008-9 OPC hockey sets.
2) Get my Expos autograph collection to 100+ diffrent.
3) Get my Hockey HOF autograph collection to 150 diffrent.
4) Get my baseball HOF autograph collection to 50 diffrent.

I'm sure there will be more to add as the years goes on.

Still trying to finish my 2003 timeless treasures gold set (serial to only 10 cards of each player). I have 69 of the 100. Planning on working the Griffey Jr auto from the 2008 ud heroes set. I have the carcoal, red, beige, Navy blue jerey/auto. Happy Holidays, David

2. Get started earlier on 09 Topps Chrome Blue Refractors
3. Pick a parallel set that catches my eye from any 09 set to build
4. Work on my John Smoltz GU/Refractor collection

3) Add five HoF autos to my collection (guys that I don't have yet)
5) Add 10% of the Mussina cards I need for my collection
4) Purchase a game used jersey
6) Purchase an SP Legendary Cuts case

1. try to finally complete the base set of Jim Thome #85 moments and milestones cards,and hopefully more of the parallels.
2. add several Jim Thome autos to my collection.
3. add as many Jim Thome cards to my collection
4. finish organizing my collection to get supercollector status
5. continue working on my other collections such as chin lung hu, luke hochevar,verlander,andrew miller ,and joel zumaya.
6. organize more of my loose cards that i hope will make it into others collections as i'm getting buried in cards....lol
7. and least likely organize my bucket....

My 2009 Goals

None!

Setting goals for this type of thing doesn't seem to work for me, so I will just go about my business and see what happens.

However, if I had to pick a couple things that I'd like to motivate myself to do, then the following can be considered my goals:

1) Organize and inventory the Garvey collection (that was a 2008 goal I failed to reach)

2) Edit my site to include every want that I have.

3) Build a searchable trade list

4) Finally begin that TTM project I have thought and talked about for years. (I did send out my first request in probably 25+ years just this last week though...we'll see what happens!)

Gonna make some more modest goals since trading has kinda slowed down for me a bit so here's what I want to accomplish:

Get up to 2,200 Pujols cards. I'm almost at 1,800 right now including the many variations of his Moments and Milestones cards (I hope that's not cheating).

Get up to 175 different Pujols game used (current count 158)

Start a TTM Mets collection of players from the World Series teams who don't have a certified pack-pulled autograph.

2008 was an amazing year for me and my collection...here are my 2009 goals.

1. Attain a Hank Aaron certified auto.
2. Continue my NEW player collections (Kemp, Joba, Chris Davis, Billy Cannon)
3. set up ...and not regret it at Tristar this year.
4. Get into another wing of the HOF

My major advancement in collecting was that I started collecting again after nearly three years. I don't have a favorite or a best pickup. I'm just happy that I more than doubled my collection this past year (which isn't saying much).

I hope to keep this momentum going through 2009.

Did pick up 6 HOF cuts and 6 Topps Heritage HOF autos.

Best pick up was a 2005 Prime Cuts BucK Leonard cut 44/50 for $65 total BV $175

Goal 2009 12 cut autos and pick up two of these three Topps Heritage autos Aaron, Willie Mays, Ernie Banks

New Year Goals

Good day Benchies as most of you know this is the last day of 2008 and 2009 is right around the corner, I was just curious as to what your goals are for 2009 in side the hobby as well as out side.
Let me start it off my goal for 2009 hobby wise is to get my Chad Pennington collection close to 600 cards. Go watch the Reds a few times. And continue working on my vintage football.
Outside my son will start his senior year in 09 ,so I want see to it that he has a great year. And if gas prices stay down take a vaction with the family.
And continue to hel p this site grow.

Outside I would like to lose weight. I also would like to see as many
of the people that I graduated high school with as I can. We have
